dbof — awesome job thanks jan

I wanted to give jan at dbof a big thank you.

I have been looking for a ring the last few months before I decided to purchase a ring from Jan.

I went to all the local , family, and chain jewerly stores only to find cheap diamonds at high prices. I also went down to the LA diamond district and couldn’t find a fine cut diamond for the life of me. I had some sales people insult me and give complete lies. I was surpried to find out how dishonest the industry really is.

At that point I made up my mind that I would have to buy from the internet. I was in the market for a princess cut diamond. I know from reading that cut is a imperfect science so I would need a brillance scope reading. So this lead me to two places. SuperBCert and DBOF. After talking with Barry at SuperBCert he seemed very honest and trustworthy. I could have him send the stone to David Atlas before I commited to any one stone. I looked at his inventory which was quite nice but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. So I sent a email to Jan explaining exactly what I wanted. In a few minutes she had two stones that fit my parameters. I had a gia report, a sarin report , and a bscope report to compare the two stones. It was really easy to make a decision on which stone I wanted. I didn’t even have to talk price because it was well below anything I seen for worst quality. My only concern was the clarity. So I asked Jan if I could send the stone to David Atlas before I made a commitment. No problem. The stone was sent to David Atlas for review. Chris was wonderful over at AGA. He talked to me about the stone and told me he would of graded the stone a VS1 instead of VS2. This all took place within three days over Thanksgiving. I give AGA a thumbs up. So I called Jan on the phone and bought the diamond. Next I talked with jan about the setting. I was thinking of building a custom setting but Jan showed me a setting that I feel in love with. So we sent the stone back to her for setting. So three weeks later I have ring of my dreams. Jan was honest, friendly, reponsive, and very professional. It was so nice not to have to deal on price and get exactly what I wanted.
